Dr. McGowan or Dr. Henne has given you the instruction to wear a cam walker boot. You need to follow the following instructions to help you heal your foot or ankle problem in a timely manner.
- have the boot on your foot any time you bear weight
-you may take the boot off while sitting down, watching TV or reading a book but you need to put the boot back on the foot anytime you have to get up
-you may take the boot off to shower but need to avoid putting full weight on the part of the foot that is injured(this can be very difficult for some so make sure you are very careful)
-in most cases you may take the boot off to sleep
-the boot is meant to slow you down, you can not continue with any cardio type training or walking program
