Get Rid Of Your Ingrown Toenail Forever
-
Is an ingrown toenail dangerous?
If left untreated an ingrown toenail can lead to a serious infection. In extreme cases if left untreated can lead to amputation of a toe.
-
Is there really a permanent fix for this or will it grow back after a procedure?
There is a simple in office procedure that we can perform to permanently remove just the small piece of nail stuck in the skin. The only way you would get another ingrown nail in that same location is usually from some sort of trauma.

How long does it take to perform this procedure?
Our staff usually tells patients to plan on about a 30 minute visit. This give the podiatrist time to evaluate your problem, numb the toe and the perform the procedure

What is the after care?
We tell all of our patients that the toe is going to look much worse than it feels for a couple of weeks. It will feel so much better but will be draining for two weeks or more. The drainage can be yellow, which patients often confuse with infection. During the 2 weeks after the procedure we give all of our patients soaking instructions and very strict instructions to keep the toe covered with antibiotic topical cream and band aid.
